It’s the changing of the guard at Lundholm Lodge and HIT THE RIM has been retired from racing to enjoy his next life. The son of Unencumbered has been super consistent for the stable and notched up 51 starts for 4 wins and 15 minors ($157,370). He was a winner on debut for Bjorn Baker Racing and arrived in the west a 6 start C1 proposition. It didn’t take him long to make an impact and in his first 4 starts won a Country Magic at Coonabarabran and pocketed a tick over $30k.

Hit The Rim was tested at Tab Highway level, beaten a lip for 3rd in the 2023 WRA Country Champs, placed in the 2022 Dubbo Cup Prelude and had countless hard luck stories on the Country Cups circuit. His owners were given a real thrill during the 3 years he called Lundholm Lodge home and he went out on his terms winning at Warren to give a final salute.
