The stable stalwarts are keeping the motor running and after Hit The Rim’s breakthrough it was Watch Me Rumble’s turn. The 6YO Stratum Star mare has been with Lundholm Lodge since the beginning of her racing career and yesterdays win was up there with her best. She has gone through the grades, raced in Country Championships Qualifiers, Country Cups and wasn’t far off Iknowastar in the 2023 Dubbo Cup but that has been the story so far. She has been the horse that horse that lacked the killer punch on those big race occasions.

Rumble is known for her race day quirks and she is quite head strong in her races which has brought about her undoing on many occasions. This all changed yesterday as stable apprentice Zoe Hunt took her chance on one of the stable stars to bring back the electric turn of foot we have been accustomed to seeing. It was a BM66 Hcp (1100m) at Narromine on Cup day and after settling worse than mid field these two really let rip to the cheers of the crowd. It was a confidence builder for both horse and jockey and we are hoping both can really go on with it now.

Racing heads to Coonamble on the weekend as we fill the truck and look to keep the winners ticking in 2024-25. We are currently 3rd in the Country Trainer’s Premiership with 22 winners and boast a healthy winners to runners strike rate of 14%.
