Lundholm Lodge will be taking part in the hotly anticipated Hunter Race Day and it will be SKYFORGER who makes the journey east. We wanted more Highway runners in 2023-24 and the C3 Hcp (1600m) sets up beautifully after Skyforger rattled home to win at Moree last start. His colours are highly recognisable and Danny Bourke entrusted us with this 4YO Deep Field gelding on the recommendation of Luke Berger.

We haven’t looked back since the flashy Skyforger entered Lundholm Lodge and he has become one of our stable stars. He was a 10 start maiden and it didn’t take long for him to switch gears bringing up 3 wins and 2 seconds from 8 starts. This is his second tilt at a Tab Highway and the margin was only 3.13L behind Al Ash Lad and The Coat Hanger at Rosehill on the 23rd of September over the 1500m.

“I expect an improved effort at Highway grade this time in. He has a good turn of foot that he seems to save for Ronnie. We get in good at the weights and this horse loves the mile. I’m really looking forward to seeing how he goes”. – Clint Lundholm

Our runner in last weeks edition of the Tab Highway was MISS JENNIFER. She was coming to the end of her campaign and was enormous getting to within 2.5L of The Dramatist. She didn’t find the winners stall in her 5 starts since making the move north but we were very encouraged by her effort. $12,300 in prizemoney and good form behind the likes Simply Xtravagant, Sister Moon, Wizard Of Oz, Dirty Merchant and Rylan’s Pick means she has ticked the box.

Horses to watch coming up in the Gundagai meeting on Friday are QUASIMOTO and WOLF BAY. They have returned in superb order from spelling Kalil Equine and will look to power through the grades.
